The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, SGT Paul J. Gilmore, 39615063, who died in the service of his country on May 19th, 1945 in Luzon, The Philippines. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death Paul was 22 years of age. He was from Butte, Montana.

The decorations earned by SGT Paul J. Gilmore include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.

Paul was a member of the 1940 class of Butte Central High School.
