The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, SSG Alvin Merle Henry, 39417025, who died in the service of his country on November 13th, 1945 in Japan. The cause of death was listed as DNB. At the time of his death Alvin was 20 years of age. He was from Modesto, California.

The decorations earned by SSG Alvin Merle Henry include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.

Dated 14 November, 1945.
S/Sgt. Alvin M. Henry was taking physical training and he had double timed for 200 yards. His group took a short break and when he got up he fell. He died at 0815 before he reached aid station. Diagnosis: Coronary Thrombosis.
Autopsy was performed at 1300, 13, November, a945 at 229th General Hospital.

Alvin enlisted 23rd June 1943.
