The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, SGT Clib Thomas Whisenhunt, 38072225, who died in the service of his country on February 7th, 1945 in Luzon. The cause of death was listed as DOW. At the time of his death Clib was 24 years of age. He was from Lamb County, Texas.

The decorations earned by SGT Clib Thomas Whisenhunt include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.


Clib was wounded 2/6/1945. His nickname was "Baldy". He worked in the cotton industry and drafted/enlisted 11 Feb 1942.
