The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC Robert Johnson, 17218599, who died in the service of his country on May 14th, 1951 in South Korea. The cause of death was listed as Other Causes. At the time of his death Robert was 23 years of age. He was from Ponemah, Minnesota. Robert's Military Occupation Specialty was 05729.

The decorations earned by PFC Robert Johnson include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Korea Service Medal, and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.


Private First Class Johnson was a member of the 35th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. He was seriously wounded while fighting the enemy in Korea on September 22, 1950 and returned to duty on October 18, 1950. He died of other causes in Korea on May 14, 1951.

Robert entered the service 23 April 1947.
