The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC Hillard Stanley Pleet, 36732564, who died in the service of his country on June 13th, 1945 in Luzon. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death Hillard was 21 years of age. He was from Chicago, Illinois.

The decorations earned by PFC Hillard Stanley Pleet include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.

Pfc. Hillard S. Pleet, formerly of 2454 N. Janssen av., killed in action at Luzon, P.I., 6/13/1945, son of Bernard and Sophie, brother of Elaine and Geraldine. Funeral Wednesday, 8/25, at 9:30 a.m., from chapel, 2129 Webster av., to St. Josaphats church. Interment St. Adalbert's.

Prior to the service Hillard worked for Economy Fuse Manufacturing Company.
