The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, SGT L A. Porter, 34872686, who died in the service of his country on April 16th, 1945 in Luzon. The cause of death was listed as DOW. At the time of his death L was 20 years of age. He was from Ludlow, Mississippi.

The decorations earned by SGT L A. Porter include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.
