The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, 2LT Louis Joseph Ranucci, 02024275, who died in the service of his country on April 30th, 1945 in Luzon. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death Louis was 25 years of age. He was from New York, New York.

The decorations earned by 2LT Louis Joseph Ranucci include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.


Louis enlisted 12 March 1941 and was employed at Pennwell Oil Company.

Louis was also wounded in February 1945.
