The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC Donald Everett Vanadestine, 31283169, who died in the service of his country on April 20th, 1945 in Luzon. The cause of death was listed as KIA. At the time of his death Donald was 22 years of age. He was from Bangor, Maine.

The decorations earned by PFC Donald Everett Vanadestine include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.


Son of Everett Vanadestine & Iona B. Vanadestine.

He resided in Somerset County, Maine prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on January 11, 1943 in Bangor, Maine. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed in the Lumber field and also as Single, without dependents.
