The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, Curtis P. Weaver, who died in the service of his country on September 23rd, 1950 in South Korea. At the time of his death Curtis was 17 years of age. He was from Miami, Florida.

The decorations earned by Curtis P. Weaver include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Korea Service Medal, and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.


Comments: Private Weaver was apparently a member of the 29th Infantry Regimental Combat Team, but that unit was retired on or before September 4, 1950, and he was apparently assigned to the 35th Infantry Regiment. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in South Korea on September 23, 1950. The 29th was attached to the 19th Infantry Regiment from July 28th through September 4, 1950.

Curtis is buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
