The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PVT James Calvin Wetherelt, who died in the service of his country on July 10th, 1952 in South Korea. The cause of death was listed as Jeep Accident. At the time of his death James was 23 years of age. He was from Broadus, Montana.

The decorations earned by PVT James Calvin Wetherelt include: the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Korea Service Medal, and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.

BURIAL LOCATION:VALLEY VIEW CEMETERY, BROADUS, MT

Comments: Private Wetherelt was a member of Service Company, 35th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. On July 10, 1952, he was killed when the jeep he was driving overturned after hitting an embankment near Chunchon, South Korea.
