Summary: At 1105 hours 1E from B Co 2/8 made a C/A to AZ 170712 to recover the body from A Co 1/35. First and second lifts reported LZ Green. The last lift touched down at 1118 hours and began a sweep of the area where the SRP team made contact 13 September 1968. At 1121 hours 1 platoon reported finding 1 M-16 rifle and still looking for the body. At 1133 hours the platoon reported finding the body. The radio and the other M-16 rifle were not located. At 1138 hours the platoon reported movement 50 meters west of LZ 170712. Gunships came in to sweep the area. At 1200 hours the platoon from 2/8 Inf. was extracted from the area. There was no further action reported.
