Summary: Log opened at 0001 hours 14 November 1968. Unit locations: At LZ Joan YA842252, Battalion Headquarters (Forward), B Company 1/35, C Battery 2/9 Artillery, E Company, Counter Mortar Section 2/9 artillery; 1st Platoon D Co 4th Engineers Battalion, Mobile Dental Clinic from the 4th Medical Battalion; At LZ Jean YA809234; C Company 1/35, D Company 1/35, 1 CSF platoon from the Special Forces Camp at Duc Co, 1 AN/TPS-25 section from Division artillery; At LZ Vera YA807232, A Company 1/35 OPCON to 3/8 Infantry; At LZ Oasis; Headquarters and Headquarters Company Support (S-4 Forward); At Base Camp (Camp Enari); Battalion Headquarters (Rear). During the reporting period several reports of movement and individual sightings were reported by SRP teams, aircraft and radar. In most cases artillery and light organics were employed. Aircraft that were working within the A/O reported receiving .50 caliber machine gun fire from Hill 391 to the southeast of LZ Jean. No further significant activities occurred in the area of operation.

1310 hours DELAYED ENTRY-1300 hours at grid 785137 Blast 63 is receiving intense automatic weapons fire has spotted about 2 .50 caliber machine gun positions and about 100 NVA.

1311 hours At grid 796132 Blast 63 spotted 2 .50 caliber machine guns positions in an open field about 50 NVA with automatic weapons in the tree line to the north.

1312 hours Blast 63 also has one company of NVA with automatic weapons at grid 785137.

1545 hours LZ Vera is receiving incoming rounds from grid 761150 in Cambodia.
