B & D Companies passed their OPCON from 2/8 Inf to 1/69 Armor. B Company will return to the control of the 1/35 Inf 6 December 1968. Company will make a C/A from their night location grid ZA045354 to grid YA762492 to build a new firebase, the firebase to be called Marietta. D Company will pass OPCON from 1/69 Armor to 2/1 Cav 6 December 1968 for a Division operation. 3rd platoon D Company 4th Engineer's battalion changed places with the 1st platoon on LZ Joan, this occurring 3 December 1968.

1850 hours (C) From Major Royal: He would like to know if the LRRPs are still in the area of the new firebase. Would like to have them on the battalion push at 0800 hours tomorrow so that they can be contacted as we go over the area. The LZ will be called LZ Marietta. LZ named for B Co 1SG wife, CO already has one for his girl friend.
