Summary: Log opened at 0001 hours 28 May 1969. Unit locations: At LZ Oasis grid ZA117277; Battalion Headquarters (Forward), 1/35th Command Post is at LZ Oasis ZA117277; A Company at ZA006278; B Company at ZA023240; C Company at ZA114347; D Company at ZA982285; Recon platoon is located at ZA115345; 4.2" mortar platoon located at ZA982285; Headquarters and Headquarters Company Support (S-4 Forward) at LZ Oasis; At Base Camp (Camp Enari); Battalion Headquarters (Rear).

0030 hours (C) Recon to TOC: Received 20 rounds of 60mm mortar at 1520 hours 27 May 69.

0750 hours (C) A Co - We have a 2 bird LZ at this time, it will take about 1 hour to get all ready for extraction.

1030 hours (C) A Co CA - first PZ at 1005 hours, 1st LZ at 1021 hours, last PZ at 1110 hours, last LZ at 1117 hours.

1110 hours (C) From Bde: Need plt on standby (15 minute), will be deployed by 1/10 Cav. Call back plt and loc to be picked up. Ans: We will have C Co 2nd plt on 15 minute standby for 1/10 Cav, need loc - ZA151346 - good LZ.

1440 hours (C) From S-3 1/10 to S-3 and Co's: 1/10 will have 2 APC's arriving in your general area within the next 10 to 15 minutes to look for the 3 MIA's. They will remain in your area for approximately 1 hour then leave. They will be in vicinity coordinate ZA136340.

2050 hours (C) From C Co to TOC: Hear tubes popping at azimuth 220 degrees and 4 clicks.

2125 hours (C) From Bde S-2 to Bn S-2: Intelligence indicates the presence of a Bn size enemy force within striking distance of the Oasis and T/A area. It is believed to be the same unit that attacked the Oasis on 11, 12 of May. CO's should be aware of the light date - Moonrise at 1500 hours; moon set at 0314 hours.
