Estimate a platoon of enemy pulled into the area this morning and were there as last as 3 hours ago. They found impact area of the M79 rounds fired this morning. Also they found 6 ponchos, flashlights, jug with 12 yards of khaki clothing, parts of paper and envelopes with no writing, several miscellaneous pieces of web gear such as first aid pouches, pistol belts, etc. Appeared the enemy left the area in a hurry leaving items behind. Several trails (fresh) going south with 2 fresh blood trails also going south. Also found 10-lbs. rice in a sandbag and a small amount of salt.
