A Letter To Gilton

Hi Gilton, I was so young when you went off to war, but remember so many things about you. Remember the Malt Shop in Pine Grove? Also Tickfaw River where everyone went swimming almost everyday in Montpelier? I also remember you singing your favorite song all the time, especially when you would go off the swing "WOLLEY BULLEY". I still get tears in my eyes when I hear that song. I can remember Mr. Lathan (your pastor) telling you that when you came home that he was going to throw you the biggest party anyone had ever seen. And I also remember your reply I won't be coming home-and you didn't. You are still in all of our hearts and thoughts. I just hung up with your brother Donnie Ray and he is so excited that I found you on the computer; he wants me to print him a copy of this for him. Gilton, we all love you and miss you so much****** Love Cindi Morgan Blades.
