I served with Bobby in Ft Polk La and we were transferred to the 25th Infantry Division in December 1964. Bobby, his wife Virginia and his three children met us in Texas and we traveled to California together. We arrived in Hawaii in late December 1964. Bobby was assigned to 2d Bn 35th Inf while I went to 1st Bn 35th Inf.Bobby and I had been instructors on the 81mm Mortar Committee in Fort Polk, both promoted to E6 at Ft Polk. I do not have information about Bobby after the 3d Bde deployed to Vietnam.
