The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, SGT Guy Edwin McKean Jr., who died in the service of his country on November 20th, 1969 in Binh Thuan Province, Vietnam. The cause of death was listed as Heart Attack. At the time of his death Guy was 38 years of age. He was from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Guy is honored on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Panel 16W, Line 102.

The decorations earned by SGT Guy Edwin McKean Jr. include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm Unit Citation.


Guy was serving with Ist Log Command when he died. He had previously served with B, 1/35th in 1966.
