The 35th Infantry Regiment Association salutes our fallen brother, PFC Emmett L. Ryan, who died in the service of his country on May 1st, 1945 in Luzon. The cause of death was listed as MIA/KIA. At the time of his death Emmett was 26 years of age. He was from Washington County, Pennsylvania.

The decorations earned by PFC Emmett L. Ryan include: the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.


Emmett was lost along the Villa Verde Trail and his body never recovered. He is listed on The Tablets of The Missing, Manila Cemetery.

Emmett was known as "Honeyboy".
