0455 hours (C) C co hears mortar tubes popping 1 to 3 clicks to the northeast and the rounds impacting 2 clicks to the south.

0543 hours (C) D Co says they are getting ready to be extracted at this time.

0651 hours (C) D Co to TOC: First PZ at 0657 hours, last PZ at 0747 hours, 1st LZ at 0703 hours, last LZ at 0750 hours. Co is OPCON top 1/10.

1040 hours (C) B Co to TOC: B Co 80 was closing on B Co location about 200 meters of the Co locations. They detained a 13-yr. old boy who was wearing a fatigue jacket and Montagnard bottom, had a short military haircut. The boy at the time, the boy was hiding in the bushes and when told to come out the scout dog bit him on his left forearm.

1155 hours (C) Recon to TOC: Recon had a man shoot himself in his right foot. Resupply bird landed at 1100 hours, was completed at 1104 hours and line #61 was brought to the 4th Med.

1540 hours (C) From D Co: Preparations start at 1624 hours. 1st PZ is at 1630 hours and preparations are complete at 1638 hours.

1645 hours (C) D Co 1st LZ is cold.

1643 hours (C) D Co final PZ.

1655 hours (C) D Co final LZ.

2201 hours (U) Delayed Entry - ON 16 May 69 at 1400 hours LTC Burris assumed command 1/35th from LTC English.
